Chandon de Briailles

Follow us into the Côte de Beaune, with its charming colourful villages. Here, in the heart of Savigny-Lès-Beaune, a pioneering domain has converted its entire vineyard to biodynamics. These delicate, refined wines are also sought after for their great cellaring potential.

Situated in the heart of the Côte de Beaune and spread over three villages (Savigny-Lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses et Aloxe-Corton), this domain was bought in 1834 by Countess Chandon de Briailles. It has been belonged to the same family ever since. A pioneer of bioydynamics in the region, the domain is also known for its élevages using very little new oak. These wines, perfectly suited to cellaring, are sought-after for their refinement and delicacy.More information : Read the article about domain Chandon de Briailles on the blog

WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY...

BETTANE & DESSEAUVE

The style of these wines has greatly evolved with time. They now express themselves more readily in youth, without losing any of their excellent aging ability. The 2016s were wonderfully delicate, with a particularly superb Aloxe-Vazolières and the Clos-du-Roi in pride of place.

LA REVUE DU VIN DE FRANCE

Chandon de Briailles is one of the rare domains in the region to have converted its entire vineyard to biodynamics without transition […] These wines can sometimes bewilder in their youth, but they reveal their wonderful expression after a few years of cellaring. Wines which age with grace, unveiling the complexity of fine, floral Pinot Noir.
