Chevalier de Lascombes Second Vin 1997
The wine
Chevalier de Lascombes is a classic Margaux which can be enjoyed at a younger age than the château's grand vin. The mouthfeel is direct, elegant and well-balanced. Allow 4-10 years from bottling before drinking.
About the Producer Château Lascombes
Château Lascombes owes its name to its first owner, Chevalier Antoine de Lascombes (born in 1625). Lascombes' vineyard is one of the Médoc's largest, and consists of forty plots scattered all over the appellation. The soil is made up of deep, fine gravel. Much appreciated on the Anglo-Saxon market, 40% of Château Lascombes' wines are sold in the United States, where they serve as ambassadors for French wine.
