Weingut: Uitvlugt

Das im späten 18. Jahrhundert erbaute Uitvlugt liegt am Westufer des Demerara-Flusses, in der Nähe der gleichnamigen, 1752 von neuseeländischen Siedlern gegründeten Stadt. 1979 wurde sie, wie alle anderen Destillerien des Landes, verstaatlicht. Bis zum Jahr 1999 war sie Teil von Demerara Distillers Ltd., bevor letztere geschlossen wurde. Für die Destillation wurde eine Savalle-Destille verwendet. Nach der Schließung von Enmore im Jahr 1994 gab es Uitvlugt außerdem eine Coffey-Destille und die hölzerne Versailles Single Pot Still sowie eine Double Pot Still, ebenfalls aus Holz, die sich jetzt in Port Mourant befindet. Nach der Schließung von Uitvlugt wurde die gesamte Ausstattung zu Diamond, der letzten aktiven Destillerie des Landes, gebracht.
