Die 1860 gegründete Brennerei Dailuaine gehörte bald der Distillers Company Limited an. Diese bewahrte am Ende des Ersten Weltkriegs viele schottische Brennereien vor der Schließung. Von da an wurde Dailuaine ein wichtiger Prdouzent für die Buchanan Blends und Johnnie Walker. Sie wird aber auch mit der Destillerie Talisker in Verbindung gebracht, mit der sie ab 1898 etwa fünfzehn Jahre lang als Unternehmensgruppe Dailuaine - Talisker Distilleries Ltd. kooperierte. Ein Name, den man mit etwas Glück noch auf einer historischen Talisker-Abfüllung finden kann. Die Abfüllungen unter eigenem Namen sind sehr selten: The Rare Malts Selection, Flora & Fauna, Manager's Dram Besonders zu erwähnen ist die 1997 auf den Markt gebrachte, erstklassige, limitierte Auflage der Flora & Fauna Cask Strength-Reihe, Jahrgang 1980. Die Whiskys reiften in Sherryfässern.
