Weingut: Scapa

Die 1885 von John Townsend, einem Brenner aus der Speyside, auf den Orkney-Inseln gegründete Destillerie Scapa und ihre Nachbarin Highland Park gelten als die nördlichsten Brennereien Schottlands. Die Destillerie war 1994 von ihrem damaligen Eigentümer (Allied Distillers) stillgelegt worden und nur einige wenige Destillationen des Highland Park-Teams sicherten das Bestehen von Scapa. Nach der Übernahme durch den französischen Spirituosengiganten Pernod Ricard wurde die Produktion 2005 offiziell wieder aufgenommen.
