Vinos a la venta: Château Clarke

Château Clarke
★ Bodega asociadaAn unusual figure of the Médoc vineyard, Château Clarke is characterised by its unique terroir of clay and limestone soils, typical of the Right Bank and conducive to growing a majority of Merlot grapes. The wines are sought-after as much for their immediate charm as their superb cellaring potential.
Baron Edmond de Rothschild acquired two properties in 1973: Château Malmaison in Moulis and the adjoining Château Clarke. Baron Edmond immediately initiated a substantial investment programme, and resuscitated Château Clarke in the literal sense of the term. A wine of tremendous class is produced as a result of a respect for tradition combined with highly modern vinification and ageing techniques.
