Haut-Batailley has 22 hectares of vines ideally located in Pauillac, with an average age of over 40 years. In 2004, François-Xavier Borie had invested in a new fermenting room. In 2017, the Cazes family, owner of Lynch-Bages, another fifth classified growth of Pauillac announced they were going to purchase the château.
