Unanimously recognised as a great year, although the war was to yet again compromise the quantity. The wines are powerful and full-bodied. Most of these lovely-coloured wines are racy and mature slowly. The sweet wines are of a similar nature. Elegant and fragrant, they are thinner and not as sweet as the 1914 wines.
