Tenuta: Coleburn

Coleburn è una distilleria fondata a Longmorn da John Robertson & Son nel 1897, negli ultimi anni del boom del whisky. È stata venduta nel 1915 alla Clynelish Distillery Company, di proprietà di John Risk, John Walker & Sons e Distillers Company Limited (DCL). DCL ha acquistato la partecipazione in Risk e poi integrato Coleburn nella sua controllata Scottish Malt Distillers (SMD) e ne ha in seguito concesso la licenza a J&G Stewart. La sua produzione confluiva nei blend Usher e Johnnie Walker Red Label. La distilleria ha chiuso nel 1985, nel bel mezzo del Whisky Loch, vittima delle sue attrezzature obsolete. L’azienda è stata acquistata da Aceo, che utilizza le cantine per la sua maison de négoce Murray McDavid. Si possono trovare alcuni imbottigliamenti di Coleburn tra i Rare Malts o presso aziende che commercializzano distillati.
