Más informaciónProduced in the heart of the Barbera d’Alba appellation, this red wine reflects the meticulous work of this internationally acclaimed winemaker. The Barbera vines are tended according to sustainable principles and kept to deliberately low yields, concentrating flavour and aromatic intensity in the berries.
In the winery, the fruit is handled with restraint, preserving its purity and character No additives are introduced and fermentation takes place with native yeasts over 10 to 30 days in stainless-steel vats. Maturation follows, with 30% aged in new oak casks and the remaining 70% in seasoned casks. The wine is then bottled without filtration, with only half the permitted sulphur dose added prior to bottling.
The nose is expressive and concentrated, revealing notes of ripe black fruit, liquorice and spice. The palate is generous, showing elegant acidity and perfect balance.
Serve at around 16°C alongside roasted dishes or a truffle risotto, where its depth and lift will be most rewarding.

His domaine has gradually acquired a fine reputation for its quality wines, which offer a perfect combination of power and elegance. He is now one of the Barolo big hitters. Accomplished wine grower and skilful vintner Roberto Voerzio specialises in high-density planting and very low yields with a view to distilling the quintessence of his terroirs. He is known notably for creating the very opposite of powerful, extracted and woody wines. Voerzio reflects the ethos of combining modernity and tradition and his bottles are iconic and authentic.
