★ Bodega asociadaThe estate can trace its history back to the mediaeval era, as it was fortified by the Florentines in 1204. It still bears the traces of these fortifications, notably in the ageing cellar. San Giusto a Retennano passed into the hands of the Martini di Cigala family by marriage in 1914. Today, it is managed by their descendants and their partners – Anna, Lucia, Elisabetta, Francesco, Alessandro and Luca. They have all played their part in achieving organic certification for the domaine.
