Vin de France Don Giachino Giachino 2022

This Crémant de Savoie, made exclusively from Jacquère grapes, comes from plots of clay and limestone terroirs that have been farmed biodynamically since the 2013 vintage. For this wine, the grapes are harvested by hand into vented crates and sorted. Pressing is gentle, with the separation of juices from the beginning and end of pressing. The must is cold-settled for 96 hours, followed by a slow alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation, using natural yeasts alone. Secondary fermentation is carried out using the traditional method. So how does it taste? The nose is precise with intense aromas of mirabelle plum, hazelnut, orange peel and baked apple.
On the palate, fine, persistent bubbles are accompanied by a full body, reflecting the ripeness of the grapes. Hints of golden berry, almond and cinnamon come through, while the finish delivers a superb minerality.
