Domaine Inebriati
★ Bodega asociadaCreated in the early 2010s by Victor Beau, the Inebriati estate is located in Vacquières, in the Hérault, north of the Pic-Saint-Loup area. Initially made up of a small family plot, it now covers about 9 hectares. Victor Beau took over the vines from his father, Christophe Beau, a pioneer of biodynamics in the region.
The vineyard has been managed organically and biodynamically since 1991. Spread between Vacquières and Corconne, the vines benefit from a great diversity of soils — limestone gravel, clay-limestone soils, sand and silt — and several microclimates. The estate has old vines of Cinsault and Terret bourret blanc planted in 1958, trained in goblets. The harvest is manual and the grapes are carefully sorted.
The vinification is minimally interventionist, with spontaneous fermentation thanks to indigenous yeasts and very little sulphur, used on a case-by-case basis. The reds are vinified in concrete vats or sandstone amphorae, without ageing in wood, with gentle maceration and regular use of whole bunches. The whites are generally pressed directly and then fermented in stainless steel vats to preserve their freshness and precision.
The range includes Naïa, made from old vines planted with vines, Drya and Thyia, two reds based on Syrah and Grenache, as well as Cinsault, 100% Cinsault. The whites are distinguished by their originality, with Oréa in terret bourret blanc, Néréi in ugni blanc, Ourami in macerated white Grenache and Blanc de Noir, made from directly pressed Mourvèdre. The wines of Inebriati express a fresh, precise and digestible style, in contrast to the sunniest interpretations of the Languedoc.
