Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves Vieilles Vignes Dominique Laurent 2005

La «cuvée»

This cuvée has a lively appearance with ruby-red hues, and a refined, complex nose which opens into a bouquet of red and black berries. Powerful, slightly spicy and virile – almost muscular – this wine is an ideal partner for dishes of character. It can easily be laid down for several years.

Having acquired a real reputation with the wines from his trade, since 2006, with the help of his son, Dominique Laurent has also created a small producer-farming establishment from vineyards leased to a winemaker of Vosne-Romanée. He does not deal with vinification but élevage and bottling. Nevertheless, he supervises vinification. The father and son like to work grape musts that have not been destemmed and to mature their wines without sulphur. They use new barrels, the signature of the maison. Dominique Laurent's entire range of wines is characterised by a high degree of purity and to be accessible to all ages. This recipe has proved its worth to fans all over the world.
