Château la Tour de Mons Cru Bourgeois 2007
La «cuvée»
Very richly coloured, with a refined bouquet, it reveals flavours of red fruit and a remarkably elegant woodiness.
Château La Tour de Mons is one of the most beautiful properties in the Médoc. Some of its wines (the 1949 or 1953 for example) figure among Bordeaux's all-time greats. Its vines are particularly well-oriented on fine gravelly hilltops and produce a generous wine with the refined bouquet characteristic of the Margaux appellation. Numerous improvements have been made by the current owners. Having lavished a level of care on the property worthy of a cru classé, they have further improved the wine's reputation.
