Bourgueil Peu Muleau Domaine de la Chevalerie 2018

The Cabernet Franc grapes used exclusively in the production of this cuvée are taken from vines grown in parcels at the top of the slope. They are characterised by their clay and flint content. Harvested by hand and grown in accordance with organic principles, the grapes are vinified using native yeasts. The domain operates a gentle infusion system at controlled temperatures over three weeks. The wine is then matured for between six and eight months in 400-litre tanks and concrete vats. Tasting reveals a ruby-red colour with violet hues. Its bouquet features seductive gourmet notes of red berries and sweet spices. Supple and indulgent, enhanced by an attractive freshness, it will work wonders with small game or white meat.
