What makes this wine special?
A complex and creamy Australian Chardonnay which is nevertheless animated by fine acidity.
Más informaciónThis Australian Chardonnay stands out for its nectarine and grapefruit notes. The vivacious palate is driven by acidity and notes of lemon, while hazelnut and almond flavours add complexity. Barrel ageing gives the wine a delicately creamy texture which makes for a very nice pairing with grilled poultry.
La bodega Yarra Yering Vineyards
★ Bodega asociadaThe domaine was established by two brothers from Scotland in the mid-nineteenth century in the Yarra Valley, in Victoria State, Australia. The word station reflects its origins as a livestock ranch. At the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris, Yering Station's wine was one of just fourteen non-French domaines to be awarded a prize. A century later, the domaine was sold to the Rathbone family, who made the transition from agriculture to viticulture and now runs the domaine with their unique blend of passion and drive. Yarra Valley soil rests on a clay base, in low hilly terrain. Compared to the rest of Australia, this area boasts a temperate climate which is suitable for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
