Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques Dupont-Tisserandot (Domaine) 2009

Domaine Dupont-Tisserandot has been run by the same family for four generations. It was bought by the Domaine Faiveley in 2013 but the teams remained in place, particularly Marie Françoise Guillard and Patricia Chevillon, who run the domaine. The 20 hectare vineyard has vines ranging from relatively old to old and it includes 20 different appellations. It extends from the north of the Côte de Nuits in Marsannay to the Côte de Beaune in Savigny-lès-Beaune.

This Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques is a powerful wine with real character. Its bouquet is very pleasant, with black cherry and raspberry aromas and woody, chocolatey notes. The palate is powerful, and the finish fresh and persistent. This wine is made for a long cellaring.
