David Moret founded a small trading company in Beaune in 1999. He vinifies and ages great white wines in his Beaune cellar. His privileged relationship with certain large domains means he can be selective on the quality of the grapes and thus produce wines of a high aromatic purity and with a beautiful freshness, expressing all the richness of their terroir. The quantities are very low, and the élevage is perfectly mastered. The wines have an impressive substance without ever being heavy as they are made with fine energy. His Meursaults are now sought after by the many specialist fans.
The vineyard parcel of Les Charmes borders Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. This clay-rich plot looks towards the famous vineyard of Les Combettes. David Moret’s Meursault Premier Cru is a very fresh wine with floral and fruity (white peach) aromas. It has body and a very nice texture on the palate.
