Más informaciónThis cuvée is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre crafted by an emblematic, Australian domain. Its owner being a great fan of Rhône wines, he decided to make this wine from varietals typical to the region he loves. Quality comes first with limited yields that optimise ripeness. Vinification takes place in vats, by gravity.
This is a dense and generous wine marked by an intensely aromatic bouquet. We get notes of dark fruit like plum, violet, and gentle spices (star of anise, nutmeg, cinnamon). These introduce a ripe and flavourful palate that carries all of these notes as well as hints of black olive. Its texture is enveloped by silky tannins and lifted by a lovely acidity.
A wine that will pair nicely with tender meat, or autumnal vegetables like pumpkin stuffed with mushrooms. A superb introduction to Australian wine.
La bodega Torbreck
★ Bodega asociadaFounded in 1995 by Dave Powell, Torbreck in now one of the emblematic domains of Barossa Valley. The founder, a Rhone enthusiast, took inspiration from this region by planting a majority of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne, with a little Sémillon. In order to preserve the grapes, the harvest is brought to the vats by gravity, and the yields are limited, favouring quality. Appreciated for their richness and the excellent craftsmanship that goes into the wines, Torbreck is one of the leading producers of its region.
