What makes this wine special?
A greatly precise wine that is at once elegant, deep, and lively!
Más informaciónIn a climate refreshed by the northern winds, this wine brings balance to the warmth of Languedoc’s fruit. The result of organic growth, this wine expresses all the powerful character of its terroir. Mineral fragments liven the old Syrah vines. Altogether, balanced by the crystalline purity of the Carignan grapes, this is a wine with great structure owing to the inclusion of Mourvèdre. At once deep, refined, and lively, it is the perfect accompaniment for strongly-flavoured meat dishes.
La bodega Mas Cal Demoura
★ Bodega asociadaMas Cal Demoura, located around thirty kilometres west of Montpellier, was created by Jean-Pierre Jullien in the 1970s. The domain was taken over in 2003 by Isabelle and Vincent Goumard, two passionate oenologists. Today, the vineyard covers 14 hectares and produces around 40,000 bottles a year. The vines are cultivated with great care in accordance with organic principles (certified since 2010): ploughing, organic soil amendments, grassing, organic treatments, low yields (around 25-30 hl/ha). In the winery, vinification is on a per-parcel basis, using native yeasts. This lovely domain is part of the new wave which is making Terrasses du Larzac one of France's most dynamic appellations. The domain's wines are characterised by their fruit, depth, finesse and dynamism.
