Les Fichots is a top Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru. The elegant and fleshy wine is both robust and close to its fruit. It has excellent ageing potential and pairs willingly with all types of roast meat.
Más informaciónThis premier cru is a beautiful terroir: the topsoil is 70cm deep, lying above hard limestone rock and a layer of clay. The vines sit on a flat terrain that overlooks the valley between the slopes of Corton and Pernand. It offers a lovely tannic structure and red fruit expression. The wines are powerful and chiselled. Depending on the vintage, the tannins can be more or less firm, but that does nothing to alter its aging potential. It will be at its best after 15 years in the cellar.
La bodega Follin-Arbelet
★ Bodega asociadaFranck Follin-Arbelet comes from a family of Aloxe-Corton who previously owned plots located in prestigious appellations. However, he is the first descendant to devote himself to viticulture and vinification, starting out in 1990 with a small plot in Aloxe-Corton.
His geology studies in Montpellier have given him a fine understanding of the terroirs. He develops real wines, using agriculture which is close to organic, sublimated by natural vinification and well-controlled maturation in wooden barrels. The wines are neither filtered nor fined in order to retain their authenticity and they suit being aged.
Today, he is supported by his son Simon in the 4.5 hectares of vines planted in Aloxe-Corton, on the Corton slope, in Pernand-Vergelesses and in Vosne-Romanée in the Côte de Nuits. A domain to discover.
