Volnay Lafarge (Domaine) 1996
La «cuvée»
Volnay of Domaine Lafarge wonderfully illustrates the domaine’s know-how. On the nose it is delicate and succulent (strawberry, violet). This finesse is found on the palate and lingers well.
Lafarge is a family-owned domain of 12 hectares, established in Volnay since the 19th century. Since then, each generation has strived to make it prosper and grow. In 1949 Michel and his father ran the domain; his son Frédéric joined them in 1978. From 1997 he started to use biodynamics in the domain and since 2000 all the vineyards are organically cultivated.
