Olivier and Corinne Merlin took over the Domaine du Vieux Saint-Sorlin a la Roche-Vineuse in 1987, renaming it. They gradually enlarged the vineyard which today has 10 hectares on many appellations such as Pouilly Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Viré-Clessé. In the vineyards, the work is done following the rules of organic farming (without certification), with the use of ploughing and uncultivated land for certain parcels. Both the red and white wines of this domaine are of a very high quality.

La Roche Vineuse is a wine produced in a clay-limestone plot, and has a very fruity, rather exotic nose. The minerality of the terroir expresses itself very clearly in the mouth, making this a refreshing, rich wine to be drunk fairly young.
