Volnay 1er Cru Carelle sous la chapelle Domaine Gagey - Louis Jadot 2017
Las informaciones
Based in Beaune, it combines historic stature with remarkable vitality, continuing to attract leading figures of the wine world to shape and interpret its many terroirs. Now owned by an American family, the wines are crafted under the assured direction of Frédéric Barnier, who safeguards the house’s hallmark precision and consistency. These unwavering standards are what sets Maison Jadot apart in Burgundy. With 225 hectares under vine and representation across 130 appellations, not only in the Côte d’Or but also in the Mâconnais and Beaujolais, wine lovers can expect genuine pleasure at every price level, always easily identifiable by the iconic Bacchus head on the label. The estate favours traditional winemaking methods, with slow fermentations and extended ageing. Chemical herbicides are prohibited and yields are strictly limited. A house where scale never eclipses identity, and tradition continues to shape every bottle.
This plot owes its name to the chapel at the heart of it. A ruby red cuvée with glints of brightness that possesses a bouquet of black cherry and violet. Carelle sous la Chapelle is a premier cru planted with Pinot Noir vines. From the gagey domains, it is a fruity cuvée that will be ideal to accompany red meat. This bottle can be enjoyed in its youth as well as in twenty years time.
