Monthélie 1er Cru Les Riottes Maxime Dubuet Boillot 2023

This Monthélie 1er Cru signed Maxime Dubuet-Boillot is a refined cuvée from one of the best climats in the Monthélie, Les Riottes, which faces south-west and adjoins the climat Les Barbières, perched at an altitude of 300 metres. This vineyard, covering around 0.66 hectares, is planted exclusively with Pinot Noir. The vines, around 45 years old, thrive on clay-limestone soil, giving the wine remarkable elegance and complexity. The harvested grapes are meticulously sorted in the winery before being vinified following traditional methods. The fermentation process, followed by a 12-month ageing period, is carried out in oak casks with a low sulphur dosage, to preserve the purity of the fruity aromas and the finesse of the grape variety.
The distinctive ruby colour of this nectar reveals a bright, ripe, fresh nose with aromas of violet, cocoa and morello cherry. On the palate, it offers a fine structure, more vertical than broad, with particularly fine tannins and formidable length.
