Pommard 1er Cru En Largillière Maxime Dubuet Boillot 2023

The En Largillière 1er cru is produced from a small parcel of around 0.3 hectares, growing on clay-limestone soil rich in marl. The grapes are hand-picked and vinified with the greatest respect for the fruit, using gentle maceration to extract the aromas and tannins without excess. The wine is aged in French oak casks, with 30% new wood, for 12 to 18 months, allowing the juice to develop a fine structure and aromatic complexity.
On the nose, this cuvée reveals intense aromas of ripe red fruit, black cherry and blackberry combined with notes of spice and a touch of undergrowth. On the palate, it is powerful and structured, with fine tannins and a beautiful acidity, offering a long, elegant finish. This Pommard 1er Cru offers excellent ageing potential, and will age beautifully for a decade or more, revealing all the richness of its terroir.
