The ‘X’ in its name – pronounced ‘H’ – is an allusion to Hengst and the only vestige of its noble origin. The wine is produced according to organic and biodynamic methods, and is matured in 100 year-old oak barrels. It is chiselled, fresh and delicate, pairing perfectly with blanquette de volaille or soft cheese.

About the Producer Josmeyer
Situated near Colmar, Domaine Josmeyer extends to some 28 hectares and has been certified organic since 2004. They grow all the great Alsatian grape varieties, which are distributed over the estate according to their best suited terroir. The property is home to some truly great Crus such as Herrenweg and Rorenberg, along with two of the most distinguished Grand Crus in Alsace: the Riesling Hengst and Riesling Brand.
