The wine

This cuvée of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah is the property’s highest regarded wine. The Tempranillo adds richness, the Cabernet Sauvignon elegance and the Syrah power. The wine’s intensely fruity palate is enhanced by roast and cedar notes from its time maturing in barrels. The way this balanced and harmonious wine expresses itself makes it the perfect pairing for a full-flavoured meat dish.

About the Producer Abadia Retuerta

Every since its foundation, the Abadia Retuerta domaine has been committed to honouring the legacy it has received, both in terms of the land and the expertise of its previous owners. This philosophy is based on vinification by parcel as all the parcels have very different soils and altitudes. In the cellar, the domaine has opted for an organic style of vinification. This ensures that the grapes are treated more naturally and gently. Wines age in a cellar carved into mountain rock. This provides natural temperature control and offers energy savings.
