Alsace | 1999 vintage
A cool and damp summer affected the quality of this vintage, however an exceptionally fine and dry September avoided the worst. The vineyards suffered from rot and produced watery wines. Nevertheless, the major winemakers produced a highly intense wine. through a rigorous selection. The Vendange tardive (Late Harvesting) produced very good results.
