Information
This wine is produced from vines planted between 1953 and 1981. The grapes are harvested by hand and cold-macerated for several days prior to alcoholic fermentation. The wine is then matured in casks (30% new wood) for 16 months. A true reflection of its terroir, this wine exhibits the concentrated tannins conferred on it by the clay-rich Morgeot soil. Cherry and morello aromas lend it additional roundedness and complexity. This Chassagne-Montrachet can be enjoyed within fifteen years, and with its indulgent character, it will be the perfect complement to feathered game or a regional cheese.
