If I could turn back time ... to 1945

We currently have the Cher song stuck in our head as we peruse the new selection of mature vintages from 1945 to 2015. Three regions steal the show – Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne. There’s grand cru classés like 2000 and 2009 Mouton-Rothschild, 2005 Cos d’Estournel, Angélus and Léoville Poyferré, 2015 Latour, as well as many more. The greatest Burgundian climats are on show such as 2015 Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseignères from Auvenay, 2011 Echézeaux from Lamarche, and 2009 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos from Vincent Dauvissat. And to conclude this fantastic tour of three prominent French regions, there’s Champagne with the likes of 2004 Ambonnay Vieilles Vignes from Egly-Ouriet, 2000 Aÿ Grand Cru Brut Fût de Chêne from Henri Giraud and 2002 R.D. Extra-Brut from Bollinger.
