Information
Xavier Braujou has been running the family-owned Terrasse d'Elise domain since 1998. Keeping quality as his constant watchword, he has chosen to reduce yields dramatically (to around 20 hl/ha) and to work with old grape varieties. In particular, he has opted for certain cuvées to work with single varieties, showcasing his Cinsault, Carignan and Mourvèdre grapes – too often considered only as grapes for blending. Although not certified, the vineyard is run according to organic and biodynamic principles.
This new cuvée is a blend of Marsanne and Roussanne from a limestone terroir. It is aged for 12 months in barriques. When drinking, it is a taut and elegant wine, with great finesse, offering wonderful freshness and aromas of white fruit and hawthorn.
