About the producer

Created in 1960 by Jacques Puffeney, the domain spans 6 hectares, spread over a dozen parcels. He farmed Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau, Chardonnay and Savagnin with meticulous care. Puffeney retired in 2014 and sold 4.25 hectares of the domain to Marquis d'Angerville (Volnay, Burgundy). He kept the rest for himself and one of his nephews.

About the wine

Reputed for the crisp fruitiness and masterful balance of its Poulsards, Domaine Jacques Puffeney here offers a wine with a light ruby hue. Its delicately aromatic bouquet is marked by notes of cherry and venison. The palate nicely balances the sweet fruit and the acidity typical of its terroir which conveys length and freshness.
