The area of Macon, located in Burgundy, is located between the last few steps north of Burgundy and Beaujolais raw land in the south. The name evokes the writer Lamartine, the famous Bresse chicken and of course, white, red and rosé wines. The white wines from Mâcon made of Chardonnay, grows well on the siliceous and sandy soils of the region.
