Information
About the producer

The Ballan-Bravo family owns this discreet and remarkable Château de Barsac, second classified growth in 1855. 90% of the 15 hectares are Semillon grapes and 10% are Sauvignon. The vines are very old and have an impressive level.

About the wine

Chateau Caillou features a straw colour with gold hints, developing concentrated aromas of tropical fruits and honey. These wines emerge as delicate, elegant and full-bodied on the palate. It is also possible to feel the minerality from Barsac. The liquor level is moderate for the appellation (about 150g/litre). These wines show good capacity to improve with age.
