Volnay 1er Cru Les Pitures Maxime Dubuet Boillot 2021

Les Pitures 1er cru from Domaine Maxime Dubuet-Boillot is produced from a seven-hectare parcel of clay-limestone soil, giving the wine its complexity and depth. Manual harvesting allows the selection of the best grapes before a traditional vinification process in open vats, partly with whole bunches, to give structure and elegance to the wine. The wine is aged in French oak casks for 12 to 18 months, with a small proportion of new wood to preserve the balance of aromas.
On the nose, a refined bouquet of flowers such as violet, small red fruit such as cherry, strawberry and raspberry, and black fruit such as blueberry, enhanced by a subtle touch of spice. On the palate, the delicate texture and silky tannins combine with an immediate seductive freshness and fullness. This Volnay 1er Cru is a perfect example of the elegance and complexity expected of the finest Burgundy wines.
