Information
Settling in Tournon since 2004, Christophe Curtat presides over a seven hectare vineyard in the southern-centre of the Saint-Joseph appellation. His plots are typified by granite soil which gives a minerality and irresistible freshness to his wines. Over time his production has gained in quality and voluptuousness. A domaine worth remembering, in short!
This cuvée owes its name to the almond trees that grow in the vicinity of the parcel. An accomplished grower and winemaker, Christophe Curtat has produced a great Saint-Joseph with a golden appearance, revealing a bouquet of white peach, ripe fruit, spices and white flowers. The palate is equally expressive, enhanced by an attractive mineral character providing freshness, length and delicacy. Its fermentation and barrel élevage lend it a substance which cements its credentials as a wine made to accompany gourmet dishes.
