An exceptional wine from the south of the Côte de Beaune with an ideal composition.
More infoThe wines from Santenay have long been undervalued due to the presence of bottles saying “from Santenay”. These wines were made from large, productive Pinot Noir vines with powerful aromas and generally had acidic undertones. Happily, now, a new generation of passionate wine producers have been able to increase the quality of these wines and shine a light on the perfection of the Santenay terroirs which were, during the last century, still considered as some of the most beautiful terroirs in all of Burgundy. In fact, this charming, pretty village, which is home to some top-quality thermal spas, is also home to very large terroirs that have been highlighted by the Labruyère-Prieur family in their selection of wines. This small Clos Genet terroir, known to be one of the highest quality in Santenay, produces a silky, dainty wine with complex aromas. A wonderful wine for lovers of powerful but traditional Pinot Noirs, made for long keeping.
