Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru is a white wine produced on the separated plot of the town of Puligny-Montrachet. The origin of the name goes back to the Middle Ages when the Lord of Puligny handed down this plot to his eldest son, the" Chevalier", or “Knight”. The vineyard, which is just over seven hectares, is located above Mount Rachet on a sloping and very limestone soil which is subject to erosion. The wines are very fine and perfectly balanced. Slightly lighter than the Montrachet, they are more mineral. Richer and bolder than the Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet, the Chevalier-Montrachet is more popular than its counterparts.

Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Les Demoiselles Maison Louis Jadot serve at a temperature of 12°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Langoustines, Noix de Saint-Jacques aux champignons, Volaille à la crème.

Information about domain Louis Jadot (domaine)

The Jadot house, in Beaune, is one of the most prestigious in Burgundy; it produces nearly all the Burgundy appellations. Now owned by a wealthy American family, the wines are produced under the management of Frédéric Barnier who ensures great regularity for the bottles. This is indeed why the Jadot house stands out in Burgundy: over 225 hectares and 130 appellations (Côte d'Or, but also Mâcon and Beaujolais), the vast price range will satisfy everybody's tastes. The legendary head of Bacchus is always on the label. The domain uses traditional wine-making methods: a long fermentation and maturing. Chemical herbicides are prohibited and yields are strictly limited.
