A delicious wine from limestone soil with aromas of brioche, cream and toast

More info

Domaine Jacques Prieur is one of the oldest estates in Burgundy. Its long and wonderful history dates back to the 18th century. Since the 1990s, the estate has been partly bought from the Prieur family, who now own 25% of it, by the Labruyère family who also have a château on the right-bank of Bordeaux, in Pomerol, and in Beaujolais.
Nadine Gublin oversees the production of wine on all these estates, demonstrating her skill with both colours of wine. Their red wines are elegant and aromatic. Their powerful whites are full of majestic aromas of toast and vanilla with hints of brioche and cream.
This parcel of land once made red wine from the Pinot Noir vines planted there, but the estate has now been replanted the Premier Cru land with Chardonnay. This allows the Beaune terroirs to deliver all of the delicacy from their limestone soil, all of their purity and elegance. This Premier Cru in no way deviates away from the quality of the wine found in this appellation. It is delicate and light but with a large dash of saltiness.
