That the wines from Valentin Zusslin reign supreme Alsace is no secret. If you’ve yet to be cast under their alchemic spell, don’t hang about; they are increasingly sought-after.
More infoGewürztraminer sceptics do exist. And yet, so does this gloriously aromatic, lively, unctuous, bitingly mineral cuvée. This is a top-notch wine from the biodynamic Domaine Valentin Zusslin: rich and full-bodied with delicious notes of fruit and spice; lifted by a lip-smacking freshness, it makes the perfect accompaniment to curried white meat, with coconut-based sauce. The vines are grown on an exceptional terroir, with ferrous clay-limestone soil and a perfect south-east facing aspect. Following a rigorous sorting, vinification takes place in vats and maturation in barrels for at least a year. We rave about this cuvée at iDealwine.
