  • This domain is renowned for its well-structured Pinot Noirs with great cellaring potential and this cuvée is a case in point, meriting its accolade in the RVF guide as one of the “most exciting wines in Alsace”! Intensely fruity on the nose, it is at once crunchy and silken in the mouth with slightly toasted notes on the palate thanks to its vinification and maturation in oak barrels with very finely grained tannins on the finish. Delicious alongside a decandent black forest gateau.

Domaine Valentin Zusslin is a longtime darling of critics and wine guides (including Bettane & Desseauve and the RVF). The 16 hectare estate which is based in Orschwihr, just south of Colmar, converted to biodynamic viticulture in 1997. Wines are produced from a total of 9 different grape varieties, featuring crystalline whites and structured Pinot Noirs perfect for cellaring.
