Tulum Valley Finca Las Moras Mora Negra 2006
The wine
Mora Negra is a unique blend of Malbec and Bonarda grapes grown on some of the region’s longest established terroirs. After fermentation in stainless steel vats, the wine is matured for 15 months in French and American oak barrels to give it its spicy and smoky aromas. Notes of ripe berry and a persistent length round everything off beautifully. This superb wine would pair well with a gratin, a beef lasagne or a mushroom risotto.
About the Producer Finca Las Moras
Finca Las Moras is a pioneering domaine producing top-of-the-range Argentinian wines. The vineyard reaps the benefits of a water supply from the nearby San Juan river and the snowy Andes. Superb sun exposure and a dry climate favour optimal maturation of healthy grapes which produce particularly complex and elegant wines when vinified. The domaine makes it a point of pride to work in the most environmentally friendly way possible with oenologists and vintners who are passionate about creating “wines in harmony with the land”.
