AOP Vin de Savoie Chautagne Pinot Noir Jacques Maillet Vignes du Seigneur 2011
About the Producer Jacques Maillet
A big name in Savoie viticulture, Jacques Maillet has been working in Chautagne near the Lac du Bourget since 1989. After leaving the cooperative to make his own wines, he put his all into drawing the best out of these magnificent terroirs, particularly the Cellier des Pauvres and Vignes du Seigneur parcels. The vineyard is grown organically and biodynamically, with only minimal amounts of sulphur added during vinification if necessary. Jacques Maillet retired in 2016 and Florian and Marie Curtet have carried on in this endeavour. This makes the wines produced by Jacques himself increasingly rare collectors' bottles.
