Lot presentation
Château Vieux Robin Cru Bourgeois 1981
The wine
Château Vieux-Robin's wines are characterised by a bouquet of red fruit, abundant but supple tannins and a substantial ability to age. The domaine was promoted to Cru Bourgeois Supérieur status in the 2003 revision of the 1932 classification.
About the Producer Château Vieux Robin
Since 1840, five generations of winegrowers have followed one another at this property, which until the end of the Second World War, was more modestly named Aux Anguilleys, and then Domaine des Anguilleys. Gradually consolidated and enlarged over half a century, the vineyard, part of which was damaged by the frosts in 1956, has an average age of more than 30 years.
