    Cuvée presentation

The family domaine Albert Boxler is one of those iDealwine partner domaines which no longer needs any introduction, because we so regularly extol the merits of its organic cultivation. A cultivation which translates most notably into working the soil and the vines manually, as mechanisation is not possible on the steep slopes of this Grand Cru. The treatments are organic and the yields of the Riesling which this wine is made from are limited in order to let it express the quintessential qualities of its original terroir. A terroir which, incidentally, is called Eckberg and gives the wine its letter E. The Riesling has benefited from a cultivation at high altitude (400 metres) on particularly stony soil.
In the cellar, the work is just as careful in that the native yeasts alone trigger the fermentation process, and the wine is matured in old barrels to avoid the wine becoming marked by an overly intense woodiness. A real success since the wine expresses an elevated quality with a beautiful minerality and a saline finish.

    Information about domain Albert Boxler

An emblematic domain of the Alsace region, Albert Boxler comprises 14 hectares of which half are classed Grand Cru. Founded towards the end of the 1940s, the domain favours clean and careful growing. In any case, the vines planted on steep terrain cannot be reached by machines. The treatments used are organic and the yields are masterful. In the cellar, indigenous yeasts carry out their work, and the wines are matured in old barrels in order to avoid a flavour that is marked by wood, and stirring is banned. The current owner, Jean Boxler, seeks before all else to highlight the particularities of the grape varieties and the terroirs through fine, taut and crystalline wines.
