Menetou-Salon Morogues Domaine Henry Pellé 2017
The wine
This cuvée is a blend of seven parcels cultivated on the highest vineyards of the Morogue appellation. After direct pressing on entry to the cellar, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged on the lees in wooden and stainless steel vats and in barrels. This delicate vinification and the character of the terroir of origin make this wine distinguished, crystalline and subtle on the palate. It has a long finish with saline and citrus notes.
About the Producer Henry Pellé
In the very east of the Loire, nestled between meadows and hills, domain Pellé makes wines in the Menetou-Salon appellation. Created in 1959, it lies on terroirs of marl, clay and Kimmeridgian limestone. The domain farms its vines sustainably, tilling the soils and keeping its yields low. Exemplary wines with impressive minerality.
