Pommard 1er Cru Les Pézerolles A.-F. Gros 2002
The wine
The east facing parcel of Les Pézerolles overlooks Les Epenots. The Pommard Premier Cru Les Pézerolles has an almost floral nose with subtle aromas of rose and peony, in addition to the usual red fruit aromas of Pinot Noir. In time, hints of prune and chocolate will develop. This is a subtle wine and more supple than Pommards from the south of the village.
About the Producer A.F. Gros
Côtes de Nuits connoisseurs will tell you that behind the name Gros is a mosaic of intertwined domains. The original domain (domain Louis Gros), was divided between his three children, which started the Gros Frère et Soeur, François Gros and Jean Gros domains at the beginning of the 1970s. Within the Jean Gros domain, Anne-Françoise Gros manages her own parcels under the Domaine A-F Gros.
