Château Fontpinot is owned by the Frapin cognac house. It is the only premier cru château and is permitted to use the Grande Champagne appellation. The cognac is produced entirely on the family estate, which means every step, from harvesting to slow distillation on lees in dry cellars, is carried out at the property. The nectar reveals a striking colour with warm golden, almost coppery hues. The nose presents very varied and complex aromas that include candied fruit, dried fruit, marzipan, and nuts like hazelnut and nougat. The palate is impressively rich, complex and long.
